Mortem Shortfall Character Concepts 2

Been a while since I uploaded on here, so I figure I'd show off some revised designs and/or key art for my characters I've been doing lately!

First off, Echo! I had previously commissioned a friend of mine to help do art of her, which I then revisited myself with a more simplified but still visually striking look.

Next, Addict. I tried to tighten the colour scheme by making her scythe and bands red like her eye, and her cloak's colour scheme is an inversion of Echo's to show off their contrasting personalities.

Admittedly I feel I'm going to have to revisit Daze's design in the future. I want him to have actual colour to bounce off the sisters' cloaks and demonstrate his softer personality, but we'll have to see if the final product reflects this.

Moving on to villains, Dyn's up first! Mostly unchanged from previous (unreleased) sketches, the only major difference would be his ribcage being more visible. I had also commissioned the same friend from before to do art of him as well.

Can't have Dyn without his partner Wyn! Also mostly unchanged from (unreleased) sketches, he is akin to more "symbiotic" characters, however he tends to force people to act... poorly. (Fun fact, Dyn and Wyn's names are based on the term "Wine and Dine"!)

Scyle's design has been finalized for a good few years. Her original iteration had a colour scheme akin to Heat Blast from Ben 10, so I cooled her down to a more unique palette.

What better way to end the gallery than with the big bad himself, Nuriko? His design has mostly remained unchanged over the many years, as he holds a special place in my heart.
